Michael Alexander is finishing his PhD thesis at the Amsterdam Study Centre for the Metropolitan Environment, Universiteit van Amsterdam, the Netherlands Meindert Fennema is Professor of Political Science and programme leader at the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies, Universiteit van Amsterdam, the Netherlands Romain Garbaye is lecturer in Anglophone Studies and Political Science at the Universite Paris iv Sorbonne in Paris, France Karen Kraal is an anthropologist and researcher at the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies, Universiteit van Amsterdam, the Netherlands Hans Mahnig worked before his untimely death in 2001 as a political scientist at the Swiss Forum for Migration Studies in Neuchatel, Switzerland M.
