Author Biography

Frances Soo Ping Chow has been a designer in the publishing industry for over 20 years. In addition to Running Press, she has worked with Quirk Books, Chronicle Books, Ten Speed Press, Harper Collins, and Scholastic. She has interacted with numerous licenses such as Peanuts, Hello Kitty, Star Trek, and Disney, and is currently the Design Director for all Running Press imprints. She's received awards from Print, Graphis, Communication Arts, Society of Illustrators, and Kirkus Reviews. Cindy Eagan has been the acquiring editor for six national bestselling series, including the #1 New York Times bestselling Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar, the #1 New York Times bestselling It Girl created by Cecily von Ziegesar, and the New York Times bestselling A-List by Zoey Dean, among others. She was named Executive Editorial Director of Poppy, an imprint which she launched at Little, Brown and Company, and was responsible for its acquisitions, development, editing, production, cover and interior designs, strategic planning, author care, and brand development. Mary E. Gruetzke has been an Executive Editor at Scholastic and Senior Editor at Bloomsbury Children’s Books/Walker Books for Young Readers, and has had further experience at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and HarperCollins Children’s Books. She has teacher certification for elementary grades and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
