Jim Steinberg has been a professional photographer and Steamboat Springs resident for over thirty years. His passion for nature's beauty has led him to remote corners of Colorado and around the world. Steinberg's work has appeared in National Geographic, Backpacker, Life, Earth, Nature Conservancy, Scientific American, Nature's Best, Oxford Scientific, Discover, National Parks, U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, Sierra Club and many others. Steinberg is represented by Photo Researchers and Animals,Animals/Earth Scenes. Tweit is a plant ecologist who turned too writing when she fell in love with the stories behind the data. Her writing celebrates the relationship between people and the natural world that makes landscapes come alive. She's the author of nine books, including The San Luis Valley: Sand Dunes and Sandhill Cranes, as well as hundreds off newspaper columns, articles and essays for magazines from Audubon to Wilderness, and radio commentaries available on Pacifica Radio Network. She lives, writes and restores patches of urban wildness in Salida, Colorado.
