Summary

Finally, an all-vegetable cookbook to eclipse all others, with inspired recipes and cool graphic-novel-type art, from the upstart New York City restaurant Dirt Candy.Amanda Cohen does not play by the rules. Though she's a devoted vegetarian chef, she hates veggie burgers and dares to build elaborate and fantastic meals with ingredients usually relegated to side dishes. Just as she revolutionized vegetarian cooking with her thimble-size Dirt Candy restaurant, she's going to make waves with her first cookbook: Dirt Candy: A Cookbook, a first-of-its-kind, with inventive vegetarian and vegan recipes and edgy art.Not your average vegetarian cookbook, Dirt Candy: A Cookbook includes the compelling narrative of the Dirt Candy restaurant illustrated in graphic novel form throughout, from its creation to feeding celebrity regulars. And Amanda's recipes, like her famous Stone-Ground Grits with Tempura Poached Egg, are indulgent and craved by vegetarians and omnivores alike. In fact, all of her dishes appeal to anyone looking for flavour-forward food, including Fennel Salad with Grilled Cheese Croutons, Broccoli Rabe Fettuccini, and Popcorn Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce.Dirt Candy: A Cookbook will break ground in the cookbook category, setting a new standard with its hip look and fresh approach.
