Author Biography
Patricia McKissack is the author of many award-winning books for young readers, most recently Let My People Go, the recipient of an NAACP Image Award, which she wrote with her husband, Fredrick McKissack. Her other books include Ma Dear's Aprons; The Dark Thirty: Southern Tales of the Supernatural, a Newbery Honor book and winner of the Coretta Scott King Award; and Mirandy and Brother Wind, also a Coretta Scott King Award winner and a Caldecott Honor Book. Ms. McKissack lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
